Mark 12:41-44 A poor widow came in and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents. Jesus tells his disciples that the “poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything- all she had to live on.”

I am FULLY FUNDED thanks to the outpouring generosity from an anonymous donor and the Uprising church. I can’t believe it; even as I am typing it out in an international airport on my way to our first country: Romania. As I was trying to verbalize how thankful and blown away I am by the overflow of support; God brought to mind the story of the widow’s offering (Mark 12:41-44). The woman gave till it hurt and I just see that mindset in all my supporters, and my church family who have donated above and beyond towards my trip. Y’all are the catalyst that pushed me across the finish line. This kind of mindset I see in the Uprising church and all my dear supporters is parallel to the church of early believers in Acts where the outpouring of love and community is seen so strongly

Acts 2:42-47 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs  performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad hearts, praising God, and enjoying the favor of all the people And the Lord added to their numbers daily those who were being saved.

My prayer is that you are able to see the blessings of your generosity and obedience both in this life and in heaven. That God would “bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work”. Just know that every cup of water I hand to an elderly widow, every hug I give to a sweet orphan, and every time I make the name of Jesus known in a village where he is unknown – you are the hand, the hug, and the mouth glorifying Christ. You who had a hand in mobilizing me to reach the missions field.

2 Corinth. 9:6-8 Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your best heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

All my love,

Jordyn
